Owner of VAHQ
V.A.H.Q has honestly changed my life. From an idea, a passion, a crazy leap of faith and a majorly supportive network, the first year of VAHQ far exceeded all expectations.
I LOVE what I do. Customer Service is my thing. Building business relationships has always been a strong passion of mine which has assisted in my career BC (before children). I have extensive experience within the customer service, sales support world and gained this throughout the last 19 years in those fields.
I find myself being the sounding board for my clients, understanding their business needs and exploring options for them feel confident.
I have two incredible children, who are wild, loud and kind and have a wonderful partner who works in the big smoke by day but also has a past life as a DJ which means our lives are surrounded by music, love and smiles.
I'm a chai drinker, champagne lover, dance floor destroyer and spending time with my favourite people makes my soul happy!
From the second Amy met Steph, at a play center, as they had their little market stalls and she happily held her baby Summer while Amy did her bulky set up and packed down, they both knew they were going to connect and do something amazing together.
Steph came on board VAHQ in the height of covid under the pretense that she was "helping" Amy with her socials. With Steph's history in hairdressing she had the Customer Service side down and Amy knew her existing clients and future clients were going to love her. It wasn't long until Steph and Amy were sitting side by side in client meetings and they haven't looked back.
Steph is in the office currently Monday, Tuesday and Thursday's and has picked up the VA game like a duck to water. Killing it with client socials, backend website updates and generally bringing a ray of sunshine to the office.
Steph is a Mornington girl through and through and lives there with her tradie man and two gorgeous kiddies. Give her a beer over champagne and a coffee on Mondays.
I have had this conversation a few times lately, talking about what I had envisioned for VAHQ when I first started. Even though I never thought we would get to this point, I had always dreamt of a business where my amazing mum friends who are smart, talented, kind, empathetic and incredible could have a place to dip their toes back into the workforce.
Lauren started the girl gang and then decided to have another babe #rude - I also had two other friends sit in the chair here and fall pregnant (we threw that chair out haha), then Steph came along and hasn't looked back.
I'm working on Lauren coming back to me and over the next little period have plans to bring in some other incredible mums to the mix! One has already said YES and it has been a good couple of years of planting the seed, so the excitement is real! Have to pinch myself sometimes, firstly to remind myself I actually run a business but secondly that I have created a space for mums to come and be them again!
So watch this space cause I cannot wait to introduce and hopefully welcome back some new gorgeous faces!
